Hey, I'm leaving on vacation up to Canada for some R&R. I can take a limited amount of beer across the border and can't decide what selection to pack. I'll probably take a few six packs and a couple 22ozers (craft of course). I'm from the Columbus Ohio area, anyone have some suggestions?

Favorites (to list a few): Great Lakes Eliot Ness, Arrogant Bastard, Founders Porter, Dogfish Head Indian Brown.

You can take as much beer as you want, you may have to pay duty on it.

IME, coming into the US as a US citizen I have several times been over the amount excluded from duty but clearly an amount that was for personal use, never charged duty.

I was over by about 2-3 liters last time entering Japan. They did charge me duty and it was a whopping 100 Yen ($1.20ish), big whoop.

I do not believe I have ever taken beer into Canada.

@remilard: Thanks for the info! I guess I'll find out.

Yeah, what to bring back is another story
I'm headed to a lake near the town of Mactier, Ontario.

I've had Magic Hat's #9 and their Wacko summer brew, unfortunately neither of which I was impressed by. What were your thoughts when/if you've had those?
