I'm having some problems with the taste of my bottled beer with a beer gun. Beer tastes great when I pour from my taps. Then I pull out the beer gun to bottle a few beers and it has a weird metal taste to it. My bottles are soaked in oxi clean then sanitized in star san. My beer gun and hoses are all soaked in star san as well. My first guess is the star san is causing the off flavours. Second guess is maybe too much oxygen in bottles. Need to figure this out cause I'm wasting a bunch of great beer by bottling it. Any experiences or suggestions would be great. Thanks

Too much co2 being added to the beer while bottling is my assumption. Have you ever force carbed beer at a high pressure and tried drinking it soon after? It's horrible and has a very acidic/metallic taste Imo. Maybe try adding it at a lower pressure? Hopefully it works for you. If your bottles are star San cleaned and sanitized and your caps are clean then that's the only thing I can think of.

How long are the hoses and beer fun soaking in the starsan? Ive left hoses in starsan for too long and it begins to break down the hoses. Ive had some pretty nasty flavors in a beer once, from that.
