I saw at the bottom of the page it was adopted from Oskar Blues brewery. I wonder what beer they used? I think Cooper's English Bitter would be a nice malty ale to use for this one.
I made this Saturday morning, awesome! I didn't have any good thick-cut bacon but it still came out good. I would recommend backing off on the heat a bit, sugar tends to start getting burnt after a while at 400. I used bourbon barrel ale btw.
