Beer bar recommendations for Singapore?

I'm in City Core this week and have Wednesday evening free. Would love to check out some local micros / unique imports that we can't get in the states. Any recommendations?

Just left there, actually. I highly recommend Brewerkz. There's three locations on Singapore.

I also heard good things about Red Dot. Singapore is also famous for Tiger Brewery, and offers a brewery tour for about S$18 (roughly $15 usd).

Good luck, and enjoy your time there. It's really a beautiful country. Quite humid though, so a cold beer is even more refreshing.

I wish when I was in the Navy and visited Singapore four different times I was into good beer. My friends and I did enjoy a 5G cooler (same type of deal we would use as a mash tun) full of Tiger beer at a local bar. Were surprised to see very young English expats doing the same a few tables over, probably no older than 16. We were actually on our second cooler and were invited to a different bar upstairs that had pool tables. The owner showered us with Tiger beer schwag. A waitress interrogated us about U.S. culture and we interrogated her about Singaporean culture.

Ahh...good times.

And just to add...there wont be any local micros there. Most of what they have in brewerkz is bottled and from the USA. The whole craft beer thing has not caught on. There is one brew pub but i forget its name. Google ans you will proabbly find it.
