Hello there,
I started brewing Festival kits about 10 years ago and have had good results, after joing a local brew club at the pub I soon got onto the subject of all grain brewing, some if the members have given me old kit and now after various starts and stops I'm looking to brew regulary.
I have been boiling on the kitchen stove in the past, I'm borrowing an electric hob instead this time.
I have also been given a Hopcat system which the control panel does not work, I plan to fix this by installing a kettle element and use an Inkbird for a thermostat.
I have found posts on this site useful.
