Been busy

I haven't had any time to brew yet this year. I know how sad that sounds but I did manage to build a trellis and am finishing my fermentation chamber. I am also almost done with my first recipe and will post for.critique as I'm pretty sure I have no idea what I'm doing. Pics of the trellis to follow tomorrow.

Nothing wrong with doing some brewing-related projects instead of actually brewing. I haven't brewed for a couple of months due to other pressing needs but have filled some of that time with reading, and minor projects that will hopefully improve my beer, or improve my brewing time.

I was working on our investment property after work and didn't get home until itwas dark. I will take them t har pictures when I water the hops in the morning. See I'm even too busy to talk about brewing

I drew up a trellis design in Solidworks. I wanted something that could hold a few plants but maybe something a little more interesting that a post in the ground. I managed to dream up something that might be called a "sculpture" that I think could work well with a bit of landscaping.

I mentioned it to the wife, because you know i'll have to get the ok from her. The first thing she asked was, "It's not a Phallic Symbol is it?"

Maybe I'm just irked that she saw through my attempt to get her in the mood by having the giant pnis right where she can see it every day when she comes home.

Naw, I don't understand why she would assume that's what I had in mind. I'm just trying to not make something that looks like a 4x4 post stuck in the back yard. Usually I am only concerned with whether something does it's job or not. Visual attractiveness is always secondary or nonexistent.

Or maybe she thought I wouldn't notice if it looked like a giant schlong sticking up out of the ground. Then again, it might be cool if I planted a pair of snowball bushes right below it...
