I still have no idea why this is legal. The only reason CBS exists is because they get all the best **** from their family. Seems like a pretty clear violation of the 3-tier laws, but I suppose that ship sailed long ago.

You can take the CalTrain to the San Jose station. A Lyft from there to Sante’d be much more reasonable, but you’ll want to time it right—the 17’s a nightmare a lot of the time.

You would be a lot better off trying to catch a ride with a TBer. I'd guess at least one of us makes the trek every day and would be willing to offer a ride.

Yeah, Caltrain to San Jose Diridon Station. From there, the 17 bus apparently gets you real close to the Santa Cruz Portal vs. trying to get to Capitola. And yeah, you are spot on, 3-ish hours from 4th and King to get to Santa Cruz. That's a rough go.

Os, find a generous TBer to get a ride with down there if possible. The public transportation route is long like you know. Caltrain is good from point to point, but getting over the hill is a PITA.

Another option is ZipCar, Getaraound, or the likes.

and i'm out of town that weekend bc it's my bday and we are going to LA.

One, slow-ass employee on the bottle register. I timed her, and it took nearly 5 minutes for her to ring me up and grab bottles. After 5 or so hours in line.

This last release was great. Reminded me of B5. Strolled in on a Friday night, got some pours at the bar, left with a few bottles. Still expensive as ****, but the experience was pleasant.
