I've been in the North Bay for 33 of my 35 and I would like to flex my credentials by saying I WOULD RATHER DRINK IN SANTA ROSA THAN SF OR EAST BAY COME AT ME

Speaking of, does no one really care about beatification bottles anymore? hahaI've been in the North Bay for 33 of my 35 and I would like to flex my credentials by saying I WOULD RATHER DRINK IN SANTA ROSA THAN SF OR EAST BAY COME AT ME

Nope.Speaking of, does no one really care about beatification bottles anymore? haha
I've only been here 5.Ahh yes. The ol' SF/Peninsula vs East Bay debate, conducted by a bunch of people who moved here 10 years ago.

Well, it is specific to beer scenes, so I don't see how seniority matters given that most breweries in the area are less than three years old, but whatever. How long do I have to live in Marin for before I can tell you that the beer scene is...not good?Ahh yes. 10 years ago, was over the hill even considered part of the bay? It might as well have been Santa Barbara according to my relatives in the East Bay/SF.

Oh, I agree with you on all that. It is pointless, but it's fun to argue sometimes. Hell, five years ago the best breweries in the "Bay Area" were in Sonoma. It's not about seniority. It's about how pointless this debate is. Visit places outside of your "scene", drink beer and enjoy life. That's what's fun about this ****, right?

STILL ARE!

Lagunitas still is my favorite taproom beer garden experience.
Music, kids, dogs and peanuts
Lucky 13 on Market is walkable. Also, it's a handful of blocks, but Doc's Clock is a classic and it's moving soon. Worth a look if you get down that way.My air bnb is down the hill in the north part of mission. Zeitgeist and the crafty fox a stones throw. I know this isn't really a beer q, but what are the best dive bars in that General area?
At this pace it's going to be around for weeks.Beatification update

That would be cool. I really miss the old anniversary parties. That one where they had Rorie's for sale... so fun.My feelings on the Toronado should be well known here by now, but I will add:
T30 party is gonna be ******* awesome. They've got 30 different brewery's making a beer for the event.
A st, cellarmaker, sante, lost abbey, TRB, etc
Cool, I might be there next week and it would be nice to grab a couple bottles.Beatification update

If this year's batch of Beat were a hazy ipa in a can......the line would be all the way to Novato.Beatification update

+1 for Doc's Clock.
The Lone Palm is cool to check out because it's stuck in time.
Delirium kinda sucks. Kilowatt is okay. Monks kettle is right by both of em.
500 club was cool for my 22nd birthday cause they got me real well and I think I yacked out the window on the bay bridge.
Elbo room is cool sometimes cause they randomly have noise shows or good djs + pinball.
P much covered most of em in the mission. The rio is cool and there is this restaurant the front porch is you go down a lil farther down the mission.
If you're at toronado and wanna play pool go to molotov
Any breweries in Sonoma not named Russian River or Bear Republic worth checking out?
Hoping to be able to check out woodfour and henhouse when I am up there on the 6/7thIf time allows:

I went to Woodfour about three years ago and was underwhelmed by the beer, as well. Was hoping it had gotten better. Great space, though, and the food looked good. I believe they had guest taps then, but can't confirm if that's still the case.Unless things have drastically changed, I would recommend skipping Woodfour. It's a nice place, but their beers haven't been terribly good.
The others on that list are good. Fogbelt has been pretty decent the couple times I've been there.
