May 5th-9th I'm traveling to the great city of SF, where I hear golden blends abound in every bottle shop and bar, and trips to SARA involve ridiculous traffic and risk of death by landslide. Anybody want to have a GB or somethin? My work thing is near Mission and 4th.

Also where should I eat?
Depends. What kinda of food u like?

Lots. Mostly looking for the place you'd say "you gotta eat here" if someone came to town. Not looking for Michelin star stuff, more like a badass burrito?

I think there might be a bunch of suggestions a few pages back. Please don't make them go down the best burrito in the city and eventually NorCal v Socal debate again.

We don't need to even have that debate if the burrito dipshits will just drop it and realize that the taco is king.

But then we have to start the taco debates....

Ha ok maybe just direct me to the golden blend bars please
East Bay i currently do not know anywhere, i suspect Berkely Bowl has some upstairs somewhere, and i think Ledgers throws them out occasionally. I don't stalk SF enough to have a clue either way.

I've depleted the local stock. Monks Kettle had some on '11 recently on the list.

Check Mikkeller list but enjoy drinking at Cellarmaker, Toronado and other spots.

Near 4th and Mission hit up Tu Lan, HRD for burritos or Garaje. Beard Papa for pastries. Wise Sons in the Contemporary Jewish Museum ain't bad. In Chinatown check out R&G Lounge for banquet style, City View for anniver dim sum experience and Huns Wun Tun soup spot

If you plan on heading down to SARA let me know.

Any Parabola sightings in Bay Area Costcos? Despite being brewed at Boulevard, I thought it was really good this year... though it would be much better at Costco prices. :)

Wait wat?
On the back of the box, it says that due to being over capacity at their main brewery, FW decided to brew, age, and bottle Parabola at Boulevard this year (under close supervision). Obvious joking aside, I really didn't think it impacted the quality at all. But YMMV.

Had it on tap at FW while in LA last week. I thought it was a bit thinner this year. Liked it, but didn't love it like in years past.

Of course I knew it wasn't brewed at FW this year, so maybe it was all a mind game.

My bar is having our one year anniversary party tomorrow.
We'll have a wild tap list that's rotating all day and a lot of #whalez put out to go at opening.
Would be nice to see some TB'ers there. Bring some bottles as well if you'd like!

I'm not qualified to speak on the other zones but the north bay list is busted.

Happy to hear what spots are good. I haven't been to Sonoma Taco shop nor Grilly's (I've been living right by it for almost a year and learned of it from the article), however San Jose was my favorite walkable spot when I worked in San Rafael. I think the Taco Shack's Al Pastor (Tuesdays only) is good but generally their tacos are much better than their burritos. The Farolito in San Rafael is just OK IMO. Had a good burrito in downtown Novato once but I forget the name of the place.
