I haven't seen any announcements from Mikkeller Bar yet, and IIRC RR is doing the same dumb line the day of thing.
Visiting from Austin that weekend and shooting for doing Zwanze as well. Otherwise I'm happy to hit up Cellarmaker/Toronado :)

Speaking of SC breweries new and old I'd be curious to hear people's thoughts on Elkhorn Slough if anyone's been...

Gonna check out Farm Creek right now. They snagged Wyn from Bartlett Hall, the dude that made their hoppy beers legit for a couple months. Anyone checked it out yet?
I was at Barlett couple of weeks ago where I was helping them finish off last few kegs of the beers he brewed. PRetty incredible that he was like 22 yrs old and producing beers that good.

Totally. Farm Creek beers were nice, but they weren't to the caliber of the ones he was making over there. Perhaps it takes some time with a new system. Definitely gonna follow this dude's career. Also hoping BH continues to churn out decent beers without him.

I had one thing from them at burger.aptos. It was awful. Simultaneously butter and nail polish. I'm still willing to try other stuff from them, but I also have self esteem issues.
*shrug*

I went a couple of weeks ago, had everything Michael had on draft and was pleased with everything, doing better beers already than a few of the "others" in the area...

My experience was somewhere between your's and Matt's I guess. I appreciate the effort of having his own "house strain", I just don't find it all that interesting. A couple off flavors here and there but in general not a debacle across the board. I'll revisit in a few months to see if things improve.

2014 was in house only for $60 and was released in 2015. CC15 doesn't exist apparently.
Also, I think there were a few SD area special events that included CC14 to go for like $80 1/pp as part of a dinner or something. I don't think it was Toronado related.

I think it was released to-go in Seattle as well. Lots of bottles from up there seemed to make it on the market.

Was also at Ledgers earlier this week out in the East Bay.
Why is it 1 pp?? Found some today, didn't look like there was a limit as it was sitting on shelf, and rookie(seems like) employee only charged me $9.99 when sticker on bottle clearly showed 13.00. Only bought two because I was 2 beers from getting 10% off 6-pack discount. Don't seem that .rar to me, or was it just my lucky day?

Zwanze at Mikkeller details are online. Tickets go on sale Sunday Sept 18 at 10 am.
Along with the Zwanze 2016 Frambosie we will also have Mamouche, Kriek, Gueuze, and Iris Grand Cru on draft.

Your $65 ticket includes:
Entrance for one person
One 8oz serving Zwanze 2016 Framboise
Three 6oz servings of any of the other remaining Cantillon offerings
One Commemorative Cantillon Zwanze 2016 Glass
Tax & Gratuity Included in the price

Doors will open at 10am. The event will start at 11.
Zwanze 2016 Framboise served at 11:40 - toast at noon.

Seems ... pricy but **** it. Though Jester King has Fou Foune but not Mikkeller :(

I assume just 'cos it was DeGarde and so a 'oh my god DeGarde' factor.

I'm not too upset about missing this one. Had Mamouche once and probably don't need to have it ever again.
Mamouche is all over the place for me. First time I had it was unpleasant, but it tasted ******* amazing at Cantillon.

It was good and still had that amazing Cantillon funk. Just wasn't a fan of the bell pepper bonanza. Not going to spend what the rare local vendor that has it is going to charge. Maybe three years ago, I saw it on the shelf at OL for like $70 or $80.
