Yikes. I remember having vignerone there for $12 / 25cl for their opening.

Also is that '09 bottle or '09 sticker?

Shows it on the board?

But probably up there, and know what it really says.

How is the Hop2Ir?
Yeah, still on their digital board, but they don't have it, and was told it wasn't going to be on again til Tuesday. Super bummed because I brought some growlers o Boneyard and Barely Browns for the bartenders. Was going to take two growlers of it home.

Hop 2 Its are pretty good. Comet was very nice, and the other one was good, though I only had a sample. Neither were mine blowing, just nicely done beers.

Hi. I've been expelled from the SD thread and I'm here now. I apologize in advance.

I'm a bit confused. Supposedly this area sucks for beer, but the SV beer week is cool, and I've seen no chat about it.

You got ISO for something down there, final gravity, good karma and of course a BJs or two.

The use of "brewery" to mean "brewing equipment" made me think that Tahoe Mountain was closing at first. I know that's how people use the word, but I don't like it.
Well it's not just brewing equipment, it's the space as well. In this case, they're literally trying to sell their brewery, while maintaining their IP for another location.

How would you phrase it to make it more clear?

IIRC Tony MacGee said "brewhouse" in his book any time that came up. Though I guess with a physical location included too that changes things, but who on earth is going to want to buy that? Someone else in Truckee who's been dying to start exactly that brewery? I can't imagine they're going to find a buyer for anything other than the equipment.

Had an Aroma Coma at Taps today. Don't remember previous years tasting as mediocre.

After last year's letdown, does it really matter when it is?
I love how T26 was opening at 10am to sell bottles of CCK to go for $50 and T27 was opening at noon with just in house CC bottles (some vintages were fun to be fair). But still, a big letdown.

Tahoe Mountain just showed up around here - are their beers worth the (kind of steep) price of admission? Today I saw two different BA saison varieties and a BA old ale I believe, at ~$17/500mL. There were also some cheaper bottles that I'll probably just pick up to try, a blood orange saison, a berliner, and a porter.

On a related note, I really wish that Untappd ratings could be trusted, but way too many casuals use it so everything gets high marks. The BA database is hilariously bad these days; the Taho Mountain stuff has like 1-2 ratings per beer, for something with statewide distro that's pretty pathetic.

No. Nothing else to add, just no.

Unless they are selling the stuff they brewed last year. New stuff is average at best.
