Saw reference to a new brewery, Anvil, in that article. Did some more sleuthing and found this article:
http://www.berkeleyside.com/2015/05/22/bites-anvil-brewing-to-open-in-west-berkeley-more/
"Sellmeyer has a couple of award-winning beers that will likely grace the tap, like a nectarine wheat and a chile-based beer."
Ugh.

This place sounds like hot garbage; "Both Wells and Sellmeyer work as animal surgeons and plan to continue working in that capacity even as the brewery opens; they will likely hire a third brewer to join the team as they get closer to opening."

You can't half ass a brewery.

One of those guys is my friend.

Srs.

He lives in Portland and is opening a brewery in berkeley, or your friends and he lives in Bay Area?

Also, can you ask him to not to do the chili beer? Asking for everyone.
I lived in Santa Rosa before moving to Portland.

I had the option of going to work for him at both his veterinary clinic, and his impending brewery. I was tired of CA, and ready for a change, so I had to turn it down.

And I like chili beers, when they are done correctly.

Anyone going to the shelton brothers tap takeover at Mikkeller? They just posted a picture of a keg of 2009 Lou Pepe.

Still never been to Mikkeller Bar, but I'm hoping that this event will keep Cellarmaker empty. Daddy needs fills.

North bay side note...Sonoma Springs just just re-opened a few days ago (since 2013) in their new location. I went thru there today and was impressed with the soft opening offerings. The hoppy beers were solid and they had a good variation of other beers that you don't see often (kolsch, alt, bipa).. I didn't try these as I was tuned into the hops. They had a session beer "tsonomi" dry hopped with amarillo that was flawless. Keep an eye out for them.

Kind of related. Divine Brewing. They ever do anything outsde the 2 bottles? Ex RR brewery out of Sonoma Springs? Or is i wrong?

1 bottle still at Ledgers a few weeks ago.

yeah - it's a lot, but when you consider the typical U.S. bottle shop MSRP for anything Cantillon typically hovering at or above $35, it's not that surprising to pay $51 for the equivalent of a 750 mL bottle.
