Stay away from Headlands and Fort Point stuff, same people from my understanding.
Drink lots of Moonlight, RR and all the other good local stuff.

Have you ever heard how treacherous it is to Hill Farmstead? Think that...x 1,000,000.
Hmm...might be tough. First time in the Bay Area so I want to see the city and whatnot, plus I have my girlfriend with me. I might have to settle for the options San Francisco. Oh well. I'm excited anyways. Does any SARA make it up to the Bay Area?
WRONG. Go to Aptos BBQ for dinner, then go back to SARA.
Also, the only problem with 17 is the idiots who don't know how to drive on a curvy road. That road would be a ton of fun if there were no one else on it.
THIS, ignore my prior post about leaving for dinnerWRONG. Go to Aptos BBQ for dinner, then go back to SARA.
AND THIS, drove the 17 last month when it was raining and the road was empty. Such a fun drive. Best time I've ever had driving to SARAAlso, the only problem with 17 is the idiots who don't know how to drive on a curvy road. That road would be a ton of fun if there were no one else on it.
Hog's Apothecary in Oakland also gets kegs of their stuff on occasion, City Beer in SF, and I believe Beercraft in Rohnert Park as well.Hmm...might be tough. And Perry's Liquor in Livermore.![]()
**** that place. I don't mind driving a bit to avoid them and get a good selection in 1 spot. Or I just shop at BevMo, Caps & Taps and Raja's which usually covers everything I'm really looking for.I don't think I'll ever be stopping by Perry's. They sound like the Pangaea of the area.
Yeah, man. I do it big. Leaving Friday morning. You're still here? wtf?

Boulder Creek Brewery, been around since 1989 and doing some really good stuff over the past couple of years - let me know if you head back out this wayI saw a brewery out there in the mountains, it didn't look like much, but I didn't get a chance to check it out...anyone know anything about it?

google Alice's Restaurant - all roads lead to Alice's from a motorcycle perspective.I'd love to take my motorcycle out on some of those roads. What area would you call that, like the southern peninsula or something? #derp

I think people just call that whole area Santa Cruz. I think there's a lot of motorcycle traffic on Skyline (what is that, 38? I forget) and it's a lot less crowded since it's not the optimal way to get anywhere. Well, except random parks with endangered newts in them.I'd love to take my motorcycle out on some of those roads. What area would you call that, like the southern peninsula or something? #derp
CellarmakerAlright...
I'm rolling into town next weekend (March 27th-April 1st). What are the best places to hit? I already have Toronado, Russian River, and City Beer on my list. We're spending two nights in the city, two up in Sonoma wine country, and one in Napa wine country.
Hit me with your best shots. Rare Barrel? Drake's? Bear Republic? Lagunitas? I can't go everywhere, so I want to hit the must-hits.
I like the plethora of in town optionsCellarmaker

Hell yes. I live on that kind of grub.City Beer Store and Cellarmaker are separated by a short one block alleyway, so you can nicely kill those two beers or more with one stone. May I recommend a trip to nearby Asian spot, So, for chicken wings and pot stickers if you are so inclined.
I might be. Will partly depend on NCAA schedule. Give me a heads-up on timing...Swinging by Cellarmaker tomorrow eve for a pint and growler fill. Hit me up if anyone will be around.
When I was out there, I recall in my drunken stupor that it was pretty easy to get around from Beer Cellar to Cellarmaker and some other places, Bloodhound? I dunno it was bleary eyed at that point...but Cellarmaker was great.City Beer Store and Cellarmaker are separated by a short one block alleyway, so you can nicely kill those two beers or more with one stone.
