Thanks to everyone I met up with for making this an awesome visit to the Bay Area! Special thanks to johnnyramirez, Arbitrator, and buzzword for hauling my butt around at various times.
That's what this community is all about. Glad you had a good time. Hopefully I'll catch you next time.

possible Sante visit on Friday, likely preceded by MTB shreddy at UCSC/Wilder -- any takers?

Cellarmaker is releasing Coffee and Cigarettes tomorrow, and one dope shirt.

Looks like a good one, and perfect before Sweet 16.

Anyone had it?

New Beer Tomorrow:

“Coffee and Cigarettes” is our lightly smoked Coffee Porter. The new batch comes in at 7.9% and is loaded with 20lbs of Kenyan Koratu Coffee roasted down the street at Sightglass less than 24hrs before going into the tank. We will have tshirts with original art from local artist and good friend Nick Fullmer available tomorrow as well.

Additionally, sometime next week we will be tapping a cask of “Coffee and Cigarettes” conditioned on glazed donuts.

I fly in tonight. Any cool events or special taps tonight or this weekend?

Also, my GF is balking on Rare Barrel. Is it worth the trip over the bridge?

Do you have a rental car? It's a little bit of a hike from BART. And be aware that RB is only open on Friday and Saturday.

I'll defer to others on special taps. I didn't see anything particularly special at City Beer or Toronado last night.

Nothing special that I know of, but if this is a visit to SF and you normally do not get RR, Moonlight, and other regional beers a trip to Toronado and City Beer Store is worth it!

Also, hit up Cellarmaker and Magnolia in the Haight.

Depending on your access to a car and if you have enough time to hit all the SF attractions, I would visit Rare Barrel. A trip with my wife usually entails grabbing brunch at bette's oceanview diner on 4th street. There is no ocean view, but they make a killer brunch and there is a lot of nearby shopping for the missus. Only a short drive over to RB from there.

We're getting a car when we leave the city. We could hit it on the way out, and I'd pay for a cab just to check out an awesome place.

This weekend I'm gonna be all like this:

If you walk. It's an easy bike ride. Just don't make my mistake and go the wrong direction from the Ashby station, end up seeing the "Welcome to Oakland" sign, and go "what the ****?"
Very bikeable, I just assumed visitors would be more inclined to rent cars than bikes.

I'm stoked that my new spot is about 1 1/2 miles from RB. A totally easy bike ride. That north Oakland area is kinda goofy though because you can drive on a straight road and go in and out of Oakland, Emeryville, and Berkeley.

Anyone hitting up the FW event at Harry's San Leandro tonight? I'm considering it, since I owe somebody there a BCBCS. Maybe I'll run into some of you.

Magnolia just put up on FB............
Magnolia Gastropub & Brewery
The rain has subsided, leaving no excuses to not come by the pub and try another rare cask offering from our cellar. Today we tapped our 2012 Out With The Old Ale that has been barrel-aged in an Evan Williams Bourbon barrel. It is simply superb if we do say so ourselves!

Worth the trip?

Out with the Old Ale unbarrel-aged is one of my favorite Magnolia beers. Maybe the favorite. I would guess the bourbon goes mighty nice with it.

Ajax world tour ******** update.

I'm back on April 5th - 12th. Paging any bros that wanna do after 5PM meet ups preferably in South-Bay. Can do SF / North Bay on 5th / 6th though. Have a rental car and will have Vermont beers with me. Just some crappy VT beer...

Hit Magnolia, had Out with the Old, then hit Cellarmaker for Mo Citra and Coffee and Cigarettes...all good ****.
I also hit cellarmaker - on Thursday - for both of those. Mo Citra was fantastic - I'm gonna kill the howler of it tonight.
