did you guys mush tips and talk electrons?
Double yes. Arbitrator can be gentle when he tries.

You mean beercraft on friday...if so, i can make that
Yes thank you. IDK why I keep thinking and googling the wrong thing haha.

shelf_turd_ferguson RR tomorrow (friday)? pm your phone# if so.

Going to Russian River with my brother and an old friend, should get there ~11:15 AM for a beer, two tops before I think my friend has class or work or something.

bdogg Turns out if we head to Beercraft it has to be very short, likely a quick perusal and a sample or two around 12:30 PM. Not sure if you mind me having to be a 30 second man this time.

I will pm both of you my number. And wear a brown Hurley hat to help anyone else find me.

Anyone have an extra guest ticket for the 8-10 session at The Rare Barrel on Thursday night? If so, please let me know and I'll make it worth your while. Thanks!

I thought I only booked for myself but apparently it's showing in my email that I ordered 2 tickets(the 2nd one being a guest I'm assuming). If so then I got you covered

I went there once not long after opening and had a good time. Their prices were staggering though. Something like $60 for a bottle of Cascade. I remember their being a lot more staff than customers there which is never a good thing. Good space though and I had met one of the bartenders in line at T25, so he gave me some free draft pours.

Surprised that with their prices they're having issues. Unless, of course, the quality for those prices is keeping people away...

(I thought it was good but wouldn't go back.)

Yeah, I was surprised to hear that cost was a factor. They inflated the cost of their beer so much their margins were probably huge.

I didn't go there for that reason (unreasonably expensive beer). Also overpriced food that wasn't as good as nearby (cheaper) places.

^ Yup yup yup. I went there almost two years ago and unfortunately I only have two memories: Paying too much for an entree that left me hungry (I eat relatively small portions but this really didn’t do anything for me), and paying WAY too much for a pour of Pivo Pils.

Closure is partially due to the recent minimum wage hike/law, or so they say. That area of the city and commercial spaces changes quite frequently.

Dank Statement @ Cellarmaker on Thursday

...Because it was extremely expensive for what you got.

Yeah, Monk's Kettle is already expensive enough. Abbott's is way worse. In a city full of great food and great, reasonably-priced beer selections, I don't really get the allure of Monk's.

There are probably 10 other places in a 5 block radius I'd rather go.

10 places in a 5 block radius of Monks that are better for beer? They're a bit pricey, but even so I think you're reaching a bit with your hyperbole... If not, please enlighten me.

Think he meant food not beer since most spots in the mission only serve Tecate or PBR (tongue in cheek), save for Zeitgeist and maybe other(s) I am missing.

For food, there is Lolos, Lolinda, Range, Cha-ya, Taqueria Cancun, Dosa although Uduppi is far and away better and cheaper, Radish, my favorite spot for biscuits and gravy, and some others most likely.

Right, but the allure of Monk's is that it's in the mission and serves stuff better than PBR and/or Tecate. There's Zytgeist and The Sycamore, but past that I can't think of many other places I'd want to have a beer. If there are more, I'd love to know - though I'll probably just still head to Cellarmaker when I go up to the City.
