temptation 2013 and 14, consecration, pnc, black butte 26, double dba, cable car and t25 bottles earlier for 60 each, not sure about now, angel's share, I think that was all that was noteworthy. Fun time though!

Glad haveyouseenmycellar didn't get any bottles to go even though he was first in line.

He was not first in line.

I went to Mikkeller around 5:30 and it was surprisingly not terribly crowded downstairs. Had a bunch of good stuff, including FF on draft, ate some food, and came home. Not even drunk, not even mad. Thought about stopping by Toronado, but ehhhh.

::shrugface::

The anniversary party was pretty disappointing. Not all that shocking, as i had low expectations going in. At least most of the hipsters were at Outsidelands so it wasn't a complete mess in there. The disappointment was a bit accentuated when I saw the list at the Full Pint 7th Anniversary party at Toronado SD.

It's just so frustrating because the only way to base expectations with Toronado is on previous experiences. But instead of opening early and having bottles to go like last year, they opened at 1130 and had some stuff on site only. The bottle share was cool and the free brisket was great. I'd say my Toronado experience peaked around 9am.

Dave was cool and poured some T20 though. It tasted like oxidized stale Cons. It was still a cool gesture.

Toronado opening times for special events can be anywhere from 10 to 12:30, given the nominal 11:30 start. It's baffling.

In town for 2 weeks. Tonight @ Toronado / 21st Amendment. Thursday @ SARA and Good Karma. Friday @ BeerCraft, Flavor and RR in Santa Rosa. Saturday SF brewery / store tour then Sunday Phillies @ Giants.

Then my paid time off stops and I have work all next week in Cupertino but will probably do SARA / Rare Barrel next week at some point.

Bringing 3 HFS growlers filled today + Heady + Florence + Soigné.

Probably gonna share bottles @ SARA, BeerCraft and Karma if anyone wants to meet up there.

Anyone want to meet for a drink in the City on Thursday? I managed to get my wife and her friend tickets to Paul McCartney and I was lucky enough to be granted the privelidge of driving them to Candlestick and picking them up, am I lucky or what?

Anyway unless SARA have a bottle release I will be more than willing to meet for a couple of bevy's if anyone is around?

P.s I have a healthy dislike of McCartney and all things Beatle due to growing up in Liverpool and seeing yet another example of people making good, ******* off and doing jack **** for the city- some say im a hypocrite as I left and have not used my annual billion dollar salary to support the city. I am okay with that, I just dislike the attitude of the likes of The Beatles and the rest of the celebratory Scousers...fake wannabies.
.....okay way off track- want a beer with somone with an English accent you'll struggle to understand?

That was awesome! I would say that was get off my lawn status, but someone bitching about McCartney selling out, their lawn is long dead.

It's not in "the City", but Hog's Apothecary over here in Oakland just tapped a keg of Pupil yesterday, according to their FB feed. Might have to stop by after work today meself...

And Rare Barrel just announced they will have a Pupil keg on this weekend as well.

I'll be in October 16-22. Is the SF Craft Beer Fest worth doing?
My experience is that none of those fests are really worth going to unless you want to tick a bunch of limited-but-you-can-find-at-bars-easily local beer. I've pretty much stopped going to them because I don't really care about doing that.

If you decide you want to go Untappd e-mailed me a $10 coupon recently.

I don't exactly have the time to go around to all these different bars to try and taste some things, so this might be worth it for me. Are the offerings pretty good?

Haven't been to this one before, afaik it's their first year. At fests like Breastfest (which is also in Fort Mason) everyone brings 2-4 beers, usually things that are seasonal or somewhat special. So if RR is going they bring Pliny and Supplication, not Pliny and Beat. Or whatever. It's been several years and I don't know what this fest is doing. I'd just check the list of brewers and see if they're places that you'd order beer from at a bar. So more Linden St and Cellarmaker and less Pacific Coast and Pizza Orgasmica.
