And I'm sure bourbon vanilla shake is fine, too.

Edit: Which they're sold out of. Regular vanilla shake is good.
Ended up getting a bottle of LPK for $55. I was trying to get the Hanssens Kriek for like $35 since it was reasonable and I hadn't tried it. It was on the menu, but they didn't actually have it. I was already a few deep and the girlfriend egged me on to get the LPK in lieu of Cascade Kriek for $45ish. Interestingly, they had a ton of stuff not on their bottle list, namely Fou Foune for $70 and Hommage for ******* $80. Oof.

I then got Duet which was great and Brunch Weasel. The trip home was a bit fuzzy.

Ouches.

Were those to-go prices, or in-house?

Sounds like you still had a good time though, no?

In house. I guess LPK would go for $40-$45 at a bottle shop if you are lucky enough to get one, so $55 at a bar is not absurd. FF and Hommage were ridiculous though.

It was definitely good times, though yesterday morning was a bit rough.

CBS has in-house bottles of Hommage for $90, so there's that...

Jesus, "Mikkeller is the relatively cheap option" is something you don't get to say too often.

I know some people were able to get them at bottle shops. What were they running for there?

Paid just under $50 for Hommage.

Some bottle shops. I've never paid more than like $35 for it. But being able to walk in and buy it is nice, and the higher prices allow that.

The last time I was at the Trappist in Oakland, they had LPK for $45 in house. Nottoobad!

At this point, I refuse to believe that Chussain is not a robot. No other explanation for this lack of self-awareness.

Anyone try these yet?

I thought the Apricot Récolte was pretty good the few times I've tried it on tap, the "regular" Récolte wasn't bad either, no idea about the other 2. Trappist Provisions did a Tahoe Mountain tap takeover during SFBW, and my experience was much like Stu said - mixed reviews, some pretty good beers here and there, but certainly nowhere near the "can't miss" batting average that Steve, the Provisions manager, seems to think that brewery has. (Granted, I hate a lot of beers that he for some reason seems to love, so there you go.)

had the peach and apricot at provisions. both good - I think someone was telling me their brewer used to work at crooked stave or some such.

Really kinda want to see his cellar though. Not sure I'm qualified to be his teammate...

The link to his cellar is in the BA thread. It's nothing special, mostly B-level **** you can trade/buy if you got into this around 2012.

I think my favorite post trolling him was when he set up a tasting in a park in SF. He posted the lineup, which was all decent stuff, nothing really special. At the same time, we had a pretty nice tasting down on the Peninsula for pokgye's birthday.

I posted some followup photos thanking HaveUSeenMyPeepee for the great tasting, including 90's Cantillon, a SARA keg, **** like that. He got pissed and had the thread deleted.

I love taunting him. He's so determined to get people to like him, without actually doing anything likable.
