Ack! Stop tempting me. I'm trying to avoid driving into SF on the way to Monterey next weekend, but this may be too good to pass up. Especially with a chance to drop in to City Beer and load up on before... going beer shopping after drinking beer is a terrible idea for me.

It's bizarrely, absurdly, almost comically slow. The line still wraps completely around the building as well -- if the current pace keeps up those people won't get bottles before 10pm.

Don't worry, they'll definitely also have their very worst cashier on duty (and only one) and they'll also be happy to sell you cases of whatever other beers you're interested in at the same time to make absolutely certain the release turns into a prolonged shitshow.

Sometimes it sucks being right. Glad I didn't bother this year.

Got out around 1130. Almost six hours in line. 3 1/2 from when they started selling. I heard I was 250th or so in line to give some sense of how long it took.

Selling non-beat bottles was moronic and a huge reason for the inefficiency.
