Bay area beer recommendations

I'm heading to the Bay area (staying in Berkeley), and was hoping to get recommendations for beers to try and/or microbreweries to visit. I'll be with my wife and kids, so if I go to a microbrew it would need to be a place you could eat and be somewhat kid-friendly.

I love IPAs, so if you could tell me your favorites from that area I'd appreciate it.
 
Russian River if ur OK with a little drive (1.5 hr) and u can try Pliny if that's ur fancy

I would also suggest anchor in SF a really cool brewery

Thirsty Bear Brewing rules and food is awesome! A Spanish tapas style brewpub is hard to come by. And it's close to 21st Amendment.
