Registration for the event closes the 13th of this month. I'm putting in a Blue Spruce Ale in the "Herb/spice/whatever" category. Anybody else in?

THERE'S STILL TIME TO ENTER! Let me know if you're interested. As long as someone is winning, someone is homebrewing...and that's all that matters.

Hmm... I did just get a new Chronical from SS Brewtech...

Might be worth a 40 minute trip to fredricksburg.

Ooh, entries must be recieved by the 13th?

Hmm... I just cracked the first The blackberry belgian whit last night.

I just registered... I know I read all of the rules for how to attach the labels, etc.. before I registered but can't find that specific info anymore..

How did you guys that shipped attach everything? and what did you include?

Pretty sure I did it right, but not totally sure. I cut out the labels and put them on the bottles with rubber bands. Then attached a check to whatever else was printed.

I found the page again, put the labels in ziploc bag, rubber band to bottle, each bottle in a big ziploc.

I was entry 239/240 and just registered last night, seems pretty small. What did everyone else here enter? I submitted my Dubbel and my Quad.

WooHoo! My entry fee was finally processed. I was beginning to think they never made it.

Anyone new put a beer in? Good luck to everyone involved.

So this seems a little off to me. Granted this is my first competition and I may be totally off, but pre-registration it certainly seemed like each BJCP category was going to be a category of its own for the comp. To categorize all "Belgian, German and French" beers int he same category is kinda weird, same goes for "Belgian Strong" where the same beer seemingly won 1st and 3rd, and Dubbels, Tripels, strongs, etc.. were all judged against each other..

Am I over reacting or do other people feel the same way?

Thanks! I guess I tied for 2nd and it had to go to the mini-bos. The same thing happened to me at another comp. Damn you mini-bos! Haha!
