I just re-read the 4 issue series "The Cult". I think it was the first special series that came out after "The Dark Knight". They should just do the Cult as a movie. Deacon Blackfire and his murderous hobo army would be sweet.

I must go back and watch it more closely but don't they show Harvey Dent / Two Face on the ground "dead" and then when they go back to look the body is gone?

At the funeral you never see a body, just a caskit. They "buried" Harvey Dent the saviour of the city. Two face is still alive...

This is what I'm inclined to believe as Two Face hasn't really done anything "bad" at this point....but Death will argue.

I don't remember the body being gone. Guess I'll have to watch that movie again for the 80th time.

Doesn't matter, anyway. Kidnapping, murder, torture...I think he's done a few things wrong. And he was a "bad guy" because of his circumstances. He's not a villain, but a conflicted character. In the movie, at least. I think it would be a bad call to bring him back, personally.

His actions could easily be written off as vigilante, much like those of Bruce Wayne, but with a more personal twist. I hope he does come back. He has some great personal hatred toward Batman. The others are just villains that only hate Batman because he stands between them and their plot of world domination. Two Face/Harvey Dent has a personal vendetta to exact against the Bat.

And he would still be a "righteous" character compared to the others, perhaps working beside them but never working "with" them. That's intriguing...ok, you caught my attention. I still think he's dead, tho :p

Screw Batman. I'm more interested in the time when Superman flies back to the point in space formerly occupied by Krypton.

At this point, he loses his super powers and becomes Manman!!

Oh yes...and then he dies immediately of asphyxiation.

I think that the current writers/directors/producers have done a great job with the new movies. I just hope that they keep the storylines in check, and do not go crazy like the people behind Spiderman. Spidey 3 had way too many villians/plot lines to make a cohesive story, and completely ruined the movie. If they can avoid the "This 3rd movie needs to have even more villans/story lines" I think the movie would turn out well. I personally woud like to see a good take on Mr. Freeze complete with some bad ass polar bears.

As much as I love polar bears...again, that seems a little far-fetched for the more "realistic" batman. Check out The Golden Compass if you want to see some bad ass polar bears :D

Spidey 3 was so lame...they absolutely destroyed Venom. Venom and Carnage were such great characters, too.

Ok, so in my boredom I did some searching around and found some comments from Aaron Eckhart and Chris Nolan. Apparently, before the death of Heath Ledger the word was Two Face was dead. Now they are leaving the lingering doubt. We'll see....

My question is, if he is dead, why make him such an integral part of the second movie and focus so much effort on developing Two Face as a character only to kill him off immediately upon arrival? If he had shown up only for a few seconds like Billy Dee Williams did as Dent in the Michael Keaton/Tim Burton version I could understand killing him off quick. Spending a substantial portion of the movie sinking deeper into the character of Harvey Dent/Two Face and then snuffing him out....I don't know

I thought it was perfect. His life was over, as he said. "You think I want to escape from this?" They didn't create Two-Face as a villain. They created him as the hope of Gotham crushed under the foot of the Joker. There isn't much more to it than that.

It was rather difficult. I had to spell earth backwards, then double check it visually, then capitalize the H. Fortunately, I don't have a spellchecker on my browser at werk.
