batch sizes on brew software

Since I started using brewing all-grain I have been using brew 365 and have been getting pretty good results. The last 3 brews I have done my fermenter amounts have been off .5 gallons. I think this is due to the batch size I have always put in what the batch size is at bottling rather then putting what Iam transferring to the the fermenter.

Is this true?

Your batch size should be volume into fermenter. The software assumes its clear beer, I.e you left your hot break and hops behind in the kettle.

So if you bottle 5 gallons 5.5 should be your batch size?
