I was searching through recipes the other day and found a couple that mention batch conditioning. I have heard of batch priming and just conditioning but wasn't sure what batch conditioning was. Any info would be great

Batch conditioning = bulk aging. In other words, letting the beer sit in a fermenter (often, but not always, a secondary) for weeks (or even months) as opposed to aging in bottles only. Many find that beers mature more evenly, and perhaps a bit quicker, when aged in bulk.
