mid mash in an american-esque barleywine... and with all high gravity beers i partigyle them into something. it usually turns out into a session beer as i don't get the "expected" secondary efficiency, but with an OG of 1.111 i'm expecting 1.047-50 post boil.

grist bill;

7.5 maris otter
8.0 pale 2-row
1.25 victory
0.5 peated.

i'm thinking scottish 80 and it'll be dead-on in style with the peated malt (yes i'm aware peated isn't typical for barleywine)

thoughts??? i'm pretty set on scottish 80 unless i'm missing something?

When I got tp the end of the grain bill I said to myself, scottish 80. I think that should sasy something

yeah... i'm pretty convinced. seemed natural; high malt, some peat taste, etc.. thx...
