True if you subscribe to a North/South paradigm. But if you subscribe to a North/Central/South paradigm the lines move, and are subject to varied opinions. I grew up thinking of 609 area code as South Jersey, but back then there were two NJ area codes, 201 and 609.

I think this is hilarious that this thread has devolved into the typical New Jersey: North vs South, Pork Roll vs Taylor Ham, Hoagie vs Sub. I grew up in the North (Metuchen), went to school in the South (Rowan), I now live at the Shore (Wall). I call it Pork Roll, not taylor ham, it's a sub, not a hoagies and I'm a born again local.

Exactly, there's nothing else in this state, it's all refineries, water treatment plants and highways, stay away, STAY FAR AWAY! Especially the shore, it's all toxic waste dumps, don't you concur Bender?
