Made a homebrew sacrifice to the beer gods, for luck.

This is great, nice touch even though that was a waste of beer.
Homebrew gods help those who help them selves, and I think I'll help myself to another homebrew.
Please keep the pictures and details coming, this is impressive, and motivating since I live in an apartment and can only dream of having space like that.

You're already under construction, so my viewing this thread and my comments come late -and I hate to throw cold water on this- but have you taken into consideration what the property tax jump is going to do to you for this? You may not even HAVE property taxes down there, or have a much better situation in this regard down there in LA than we do up here, but....it's something to think about. I tore down my old garage and built a new one two years ago...and got no permits and told no one. So far, so good.

I'm tellin' ya... Cold Room... you will be incredibly thankful you did it.

Keep any kegs you'll have on tap in it... lager in it... hell, use it as a second refridgerator if you need to.

I have a little DIY walk-in and it's a REALLY nice thing to have.

Like I was posting before, a bunch of guys on HBT have built them with nothing more than a good amount of insulation, a regular wall-unit AC and some ingenuity.

We've been on hold because of rain and scheduling of carpenters.

+1 to cold room, and off that use a fan on another controller into a smaller fermentation room. I'd have put a 2 car garage door or roll up door to open it up to the pool.
