Ok I finally got a kegerator built and am starting to keg instead of bottle. I want to try to back sweeten using (thawed) frozen apple juice concentrate instead of splenda. I am going to bring it down to fridge temperature before adding in the FAJC so fermentation doesn't start back up. The question I have is I use 3-4 cups of splenda per 5 gallon batch to get it to the sweetness level my family and I prefer. (i know we like it sweet). Anyways what is the rough ratio for FAJC vs Splenda or other sugars is it 1:1 meaning 1 cup FAJC = Same sweetness as a cup of splenda or is it different ratio. I know I should sweeten to taste but i would like to at least get a good starting ratio so I can build off of.

I have no idea about the relative sweetness of Splenda, but I do my sweetening by specific gravity. For me and my family, 1.012 works well. If you like it really sweet like commercial ciders, go to 1.025. Once you find the magic number that suits your tastes you can dial that in with pretty much any sugar you want in the future.
