Visited the Adirondacks again this past weekend, this time summiting Giant Mountain.

This was a couple months ago at 10,000' in Great Basin National Park.

We camped up there, and I found out (the hard way) that this + a crowler of Block 15 Fluffhead while unacclimated to the altitude was a bad idea after I passed out while taking a piss at 2am. Lesson learned.
I loved Great Basin. Did you climb Wheeler Peak?
**** no. The passing out was beer related, but also altitude sickness related. We wanted to do the alpine lakes trail (a 3 mile loop above 10,000'), but I felt a little bit like I was going to die. We were only passing thru on our way to the Grand Canyon north rim, but might have tried it if we had time to acclimate to the altitude.

I live 16' higher than you, because I'm a badass.<---- Current (home) elevation: 158'. Guilty as charged.
7% bomber followed by a 14% bomber and you made it back from des montagnes?Pre-climb Beachwood Citraholic in First Creek Canyon, Red Rocks, Nevada. Followed up with a post-climb Parabola.

I am currently that guy hobbling around in a walking boot watching my friends have fun at the boulders. This getting old **** is for the birds.Bouldering still fascinates me. Not enough to try it. First encounter was a group of people doing it up on the coast of Lake Huron and one of their buds in a cast hobbling along just to have something to do. Must have busted it a day or two earlier. He then plopped on a big floaty on the lake and watched them from there.
I totally agree . Hopefully my knee recovers enough that I can get out and at least do some hiking this summer . I'm really enjoying the pics and stories . Just watched Valley Uprising for at least the 10th time . It's a great documentary about climbing in Yosemite . I highly recommend it .I'd like to note that this thread is ******* awesome and I wanna go outside.
