Hi all... a new/old brewer here from north central AZ. I have brewed off and on for 30 years (more off than on!) Years ago while living in a small town in Eastern Oregon even had a LHBS... so at that time brewed A LOT! Life necessitated about a 15 year hiatus from brewing but I started back in last December and since then have brewed 7, 5 gallon batches. I was and have been an extract/steeped grain brewer - and am getting some fine beers with that. My last beer (in the fermenter right now is a partial mash, rye IPA.) I also have a Blonde APA in a secondary right now with gelatin in there to make it bright and clean, I gelatin nearly all of my light colored beers.

I had no intentions of switching to all grain until I started reading this forum, specifically the BIAB thread... I am hooked! Presently I am building a recirculating mash, BIAB all electric rig. The stand is built - complete with boom and winch to lower/extract the bag. I have all the other hardware to finish the rig including the - single PID control panel that will accommodate 2 pumps or 1 pump and a 20A plug (probably need another PID so will make sure there is room) so I can use my Hop Rocket both as a Hop Back and a RIMS if I feel it will be more efficient than using the 5500W main element to control mash temp. I have never wired this complex of circuitry before (have wired houses so understand electricity flows) so wish me luck pulling this off! Hat's off the P-J for the fine work of simplifying wiring diagrams!

Can't offer much advice but surely appreciate all of the same offered by those in the know out there!

Welcome Back to the Obsession! Props on going the eBIAB route. Sounds like you're all in this time.

Thanks "Divrguy" ... yeah I'd say I'm All-In! Retired now and just sold my 1973 MG Midget so have been using that money to fund my Beer and Wine Making hobbies. By the time I get this eBIAB rig completed I should be broke! BUT... the car hobby just keeps taking with little to give in return. At least in the Homebrew obsession you get to drink the rewards of your labor not just drive around always listening for what will need repaired next!

Brew stand complete/New kettle marked for holes (waiting for a Knockout punch set from HF to arrive)/ Today I start wiring the Control Panel. Lov'in it!

Don
