Have just found out that my wife is going to be induced on Tuesday!

I have started pacing already! Jings my legs are going to be sore.

None. I came off of 6 weeks of third shift work (the other guy quit, I really hate that guy) to have one week of rest before the baby was born. I am enjoying it all, except the lack of sleep. I can't wait for her to sleep during the night, currently it is her most active time.

As for the sex. I am not going anywhere near anything that can do that for a GOOD long time! I made the mistake of watching in great awe my daughter coming out and I took a long time to step up to the plate again so to speak...

Just paced up into town and bought speakers for i-pod, 100 blank DVDs, 1 cuddly toy, 1 potato head, 20 scratch cards, 1 prepaid phone recharge card and 3 juggling balls. Expensive pacing!

Thanks Cheese. I have been following that line of inquiry for a while but I will put across your point to her and see what happens. I don't really fancy my chances but I will try anyway and let you know how I get on! Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Girl, 5 pounds, 15 ounces, 43cm in length, blue eyes, dark hair, sugar levels good, born 11:36am on 4/4/7. Midwife was known to Wife (who is also a nurse). Was born three weeks early. Started feeding 20 min after being born. Called Melanie Kate Bremner. Mother is good. Milk is starting to come.

Info for blokes :
Small girl baby. All fingers, toes are there. Must go buy second double barrel shotgun. At home after spending two nights in hospital on a mission to wet the babies head!

under 6 pounds? Throw her back, she's not done cooking! Miles was 9.25 pounds, so my wife gets jealous when she hears about smaller babies. Although I guess none are small if you're the one passing it, right?

My wife REALLY wants a girl next time. I'm cool with another boy, I really like having a son. Don't get me wrong - I'd be thrilled with a daughter, but having a boy is its own brand of fun.
