- Nice, Easy drinking Pale
This is my first post in the Recipe Section.
GPA : Grier Pale Ale
This was inspired off of my desire to have a nice pale on tap at all times.
It is a blend of Ed Worts's Haus Pale and Bier Munchers - Cent Blonde
Both of which I have brew many many times.
I am inspired by both due to the "cheap and easy" methodology they both implore.
It must be noted that I am not a fan of Vienna malt. It is too "bready" for me. Therefore this is less complex.
GRAIN BILL:
20# Pale Malt
1# Caramel 20L
1# Carapils
I mash @ 152 for 60min. Single Infusion I fly sparge. Therefore as far as water for mash in and sparge Please use one of the many online calculators.
HOPS:
1.5oz 8.5%AA Centennial 60min
1.0oz 8.5%AA Centennial 30min
0.5oz 5.0%AA Cascade 15min
0.5oz 5.0%AA Cascade 5min
0.5oz 8.5%AA Centennial - Dry hop (keg for me)
It is a nice easy drinking, basic pale.
I will post pics when this keg is fully carbed. I have been working on this over the summer and feel confident enough to post it now.
