Would anyone happen to know the AutomationDirect.com 1/4 DIN version of Auber's Auber SYL-2352? I just need to have a single output for heating mode.

I am just interested in the AutomationDirect version because it can be directly interfaced with a computer.

Thanks!

Take a look at Solo SL9696-VVE or Solo SL9696-VRE.
Both are 1/4 DIN without fuzzy logic.

I use there PC35 versions with a 4-20 mA temp re-transmit as back up units in case my PLC dies. During normal operations used as remote thermometers for the PLC logic.

All of the SOLO controllers have a 2-wire RS-485 serial communication port. The supported protocols are Modbus RTU and Modbus ASCII.
Your PC has a RS232 port which requires a RS232 to RS485 converter or USB to RS485.
Those converters RS 232 to RS485 are less than $20 on ebay.
USB-485M converter from AutomationDirect is available for $51, includes cable and connectors.
Cheers,

I have one of the SOLOs for my ferm chamber. I got it just for the RS485 port and their supplied SW to be able to set more complex fermentation profiles with multiple ramps and soaks. If you use their SW you HAVE to change your screen resolution to a 4:3 aspect ratio otherwise you won't be able to see the bottom of the window.
I have no complaints other than the screen resolution crap.
