Auto Siphon Broken?

Upon cleaning the racking cane part of my Auto Siphon (post rack) I noticed a hole in the bottom tip. Is this hole supposed to be there (see picture)? It looks like the glass/plastic is broken.

Its not exactly clear to me... are you talking about the hole the beer/wort flows through & into the tube when you press downt the racking cane portion?

Sorry its really blurry and reflective, try it out on a jug of water.. you'll find out real quick if its still working.
