so i looked around on the projects and i know i have seen it before, but i coulding find it. I have an immersion chiller i would like to attach in my boil kettle, using 1/2 weldless fittings. my question is on the chiller side. what are the connections used to attach the chiller, i think its something like a free spinning nut and compression fitting, but i am not sure, this is just a simple fix but just not sure what it is.

1/2" union would work. Could be sweat to the chiller side and on the bulkhead side too. You might find one with NPT side for the bulkhead, but if not, sweat to NPT fitting would work in it's place.

Go on Ebay and do a search on swagelok 1/2" tube to 1/2" npt. They make them in Brass or Stainless Steel.

Here is an example of a brass swagelok fitting: http://cgi.ebay.com/Swagelok-B-810-...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483ad4ebc6

Here is an example of the same fitting in Stainless Steel: http://cgi.ebay.com/5-Swagelok-Stai...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aa2878b5a
