So I'm off to a family get-together next week and would like to bring along some examples of what the Atlanta area beer scene has to offer. I'd really prefer bottles as opposed to bringing along growlers (so nothing "on tap only"). Also I'd prefer something that isn't widely distributed as most of my family live in VA Beach and would likely have tried some of the bigger guys. (Sweetwater 420 :( )So I turn to the collective knowledge of the HBT community. What would you guys recommend? A good sour? Barrel Aged stout? Imperial red?, etc. Any and all suggestions are welcomed.

Sorry can't help with your question, but allow me to hijack for a second. I'm going to Atlanta in July for a weekend for a wedding and staying in the city. What's the best brewery/beer bar to go to?

There was a thread about this very subject about a month ago. Use the search function to find it.

Red Hare and Monday Night are both good local breweries that bottle.

Yeah the local breweries I'm pretty familiar with what I'm looking for are specific bottles that are unique (and I could find at Total Wine, Sherlock's, or Green's). Examples would be MNB's Barrel aged Drafty Kilt, Orpheus Wandering Blues. Specifics like that. Just wondering what others agree is good from the ATL.

Try finding a bomber of Terrapin's Walking Dead Blood Orange IPA...

My personal favorite is Jailhouse, they are mainly distributed on the Southside of Atlanta. Stout is a seasonal for them but they have a India Red Ale and a Saison out right know as well as a Barleywine.
