I am a graphic designer and would like to lend a hand in the artwork category. I know there are people out there with killer ideas that cant put them in the computer and or cant afford to pay some to design it. Let me know and I can help you out, FREE!!

i know a little adobe illustrator but i dont have the program, nor can i realy afford it. do you have any of your work you could show us?

Sorry for the delay. Computer crashed over the weekend and instead of trying to fix it, I went out and got a new iMac. Spent all weekend loading all the old files I had backed up. Anyway, here is some artwork I had done in the past. Unfortunately my artwork is sort of hard to get down to a size small enough to upload yet big enough for you to see. Here are two pieces, if you would like to see more, PM your email address to me and I can send larger files that way.

That first one is FUNKY!!! Ya know, I think I saw something like that once, it had been quite an evening!

I have a piece of bronze sheet, and a sketch to cut out of it. You don't know how to enter it into AutoCad for a waterjet control program, do you?

And, it's very nice of you to make this offer. Thanks (from everyone!).

HA, I know what you mean. Had a few evenings like that myself. I did that work for the chiropractor that worked on my back. As for your sketch, you need to export the file into a dwg or dxf file to get it into AutoCad. Illustrator can do that. What programs do you have to work with. The reason I made the offer to everyone is I know there are people out there that have great ideas without the means to fulfill them.

To everyone, your welcome.

Well, I have an older AutoCAD. And nothing else purchased.

The sketch is on 8.5x11 (It's a big Maple leaf outline - keeping the center leaf cut-out intact to use elsewhere). I just don't know if I can get a jpeg into AutoCAD. Don't know how I'd get it as a layer, and get all the curves to be drawn accurately.

So, yes, I guess I don't have the means to fulfil this one yet! :D

If I have something I designed on a Word Doc and would like to make it a brewery logo that I can use. Is there a simple way I could do that? Does that make scene?

Thanks EA, I got it. THe pic is in your mailbox and my profile. Thanks again, I'm looking forward to getting this, and figuring out how it's done.

The short answer is no, there's no simple way of doing that, but it depends on what you come up with, what the logo looks like and how you're going to use in a label.

EA, the pic looks good. Since I sent you a jpg, did you import it in, then color it? And thanks!

That all depends on what your wanting to do with it. For printed stuff like labels, just print it from your computer.

Actually, there is a way to do it that isn't too hard. You can live trace just about anything in Illustrator. From there you save or export into just about any format you need.

Well, I'm guessing that if he's designing in Word, then using Illustrator is not gonna be that simple. Can Word save a raster image? Can Illustrator open up a Word file?

HMM... now that you mention it, Im not sure. I just click and drag the image from the word document to my desk top and then place the image into Illustrator. Windows will not allow you to do that. I am running OS X and it will let you preform that transition. So I guess it wouldn't be too hard for me, but harder for most.
