Has anyone tried these yet? I know they're new as experimental and curious how I could use them. Maybe a pale ale, or smash?
I'm just now starting to order lager quantities of hops as I see it's WAY CHEAPER! I saw armadillo and just thought what the neck the name sounds cool. I can wait to try them. I have to make a pils before I make a smash with these though. Any tips for whole leaf hops?

I never thought of the absorption of whole leaf. As for the filtration I just dump the contents of my kettle into my bucket which is lined with a Strainer bag, so all I have to do then is pull the bag. However, I've been wanting to try the experiment of putting everything in and letting it fermentation with all the trub still in there. I read a cool article about it and was quite intrigued I just don't think it would work all too well with leaf hops

While we are speaking on hop tips, what tips do you guys have on keeping bulk hops? Do you break a pound down into ounce increments? Or just use what you need then reseal the rest? Wife just bought a vacuum sealer this past week.

Damn it...I spent like 130 bucks on that site! For some reason I thought a full pound of these hops is a necessity to my homebrewing life. Man I may have to start having the wife approve all future homebrewing purchases.

I would highly not recommend that! Unless your wife is cool with your brewing. I get yelled at when I brew once a month. I get the "you just bottled a lot of beer 2 weeks ago" speech every time I want to brew. I don't think she understands the love of beer like me
