Are you impervious to yeast?

Hey guys, as homebrewers we have all had our fair share of yeast. As the years pass, it seems like yeast affects my body (GI) less. I even enjoy the fruity notes of some yeast. After being a brewer are you bullet proof to yeast?
 
I can eat hot peppers now where when I was a few years younger even plain mustard would make my brow sweat. Do you think it's age or perhaps yeast is perhaps an acquired taste? I really dislike yeast in my beer and go to great lengths to make the beer as clear as possible.
 
I do know what you mean and I do it too. Don't get me wrong, when I was a new brewer I drank week old beer and to this day I don't want to do that again. I made a stout that I thought was the best I've made, but my friends wife said "don't drink it, it's full of yeast".
 
I don't think I'll ever be impervious to yeast. Man, does it clean me out. Second only to coffee and caffeine.
 
I am unaware of this effect of yeast, what are you guys talking about?
 
Never tried it but I read an article about certain fitness fanatics surviving on yeast shakes made with raw eggs and yogurt and a tablespoon or two of baker's yeast. I would be more put off by the raw eggs, I find yeast very tasty either dry or from the bottle dregs.
 
Yes, drinking the bottle dregs, they have no bad affect on me. I like them. Same with dusty yeast, like 1056. I can have a uncrashed beer and enjoy the yeast flavor.
 
Yes, yeast does affect me. My diet is not horrible, but in my age I have developed Gout. The number one thing that sets off a flare up? Brewer's yeast. I now filter as much as i can, and am very wary of yeast bombs at homebrew club meetings. I often pass them up, because I do not want to deal with a flareup. Luckily, knock on wood, I haven't had a flare up in over a year and a half now.
 
Gout, wow, I had no idea that would affect that. I had another young friend 40 y/o that was drinking my beer like a fish. I know he has gout, I should ask him if it flared up? Good to know though.
