It will just add more sugars... the yeast can eat out the sugars in the fruit. You end up w/ a chance for some debris in the bottles, but other than that, nothing bad has come of my meads w/ fruit in them. There is a bit of 'gunk' at the bottom but drinking it is fine anyway, as its well alcohol cleansed :p
