Apfelwein. What Have I Missed?

At the risk of being labelled a heretic I'm amazed daily by the endless fascination with this. Sometimes it seems that in the home winemaking world nothing else rates.

I do have one of Edworts best down and I'm sure I'll probably repeat it many times over. But it is only one brew of many underway presently.

Which brings me to ask why, when scrolling thru the main board, I see posts in the beer section on Apfelwein? There's a topic up there presently and I have seen others in the past.
If noobs are trying to get a handle on this, wouldn't posts be better off on either the Wine or the Cider board?
As it is, casing 2 boards to get the guts is bad enough, but tonight I read Boerderij Kabouter's post in the beer section advising wait 8 months before Apfelwein comes good and he's aided and abetted by non other then Edwort the creator.
I don't think I've read those words of Edwort's wisdom before tho there's so much written about this I've prolly missed them.
