Been lurking here for a long time while I gained the knowledge to start brewing. I'm starting with a very Australian mini-BIAB stovetop setup in my little apartment in Sydney. Doing 3 gal batches because I don't have much room, guess I'll see how i go before i upscale.
Inspired to brew by some brilliant american beers i've had over the last few years, most of which are impossible to get here. We in Australia currently get a selection of Green Flash, Bear Republic, Moylans, Sierra, Bridgeport, North Coast and Brooklyn... All great, but mostly about $40 a six pack. Green Flash West coast IPA and Bear republic Racer 5 were both probably my aha moment.
Got my first brew in the primary and am looking forward to many more!
