I'm brewing a hopped up 5 gallon extract APA currently in the primary and I plan on dry hopping it.

I originally planned to only use 2 oz of Citra to dry hop (Zombie Dust is one of my favorite brews). I ordered 4 oz of Citra and it came all in one package. I didn't want to separate (no way to accurately measure) but do you guys think 4 oz would be too much?

I might also add that usually when I add my hops I open the package a minute in advance just to sniff the delicious aroma. :)

A small kitchen scale would be a good investment for now and in the future.

I don't think you'd have any problems using it all though.

Ok... I'm not worried about "waste", I just didn't want to impart any off flavors by over-hopping if there is such a thing.

I've read about grassy flavors from hopping too long so I wanted to avoid that. At the same time I wanted to get as much "hop punch" as possible.
