I have that thermometer, but the non-stainless version. It works great. I used to use it for my strike water, then the timer for my mash.

Taylor's also have great warranties.
 
They have both at the store, the stainless steel one and a white one.... white one is 16.99 if I remember.... would you suggest buying this
 
I have had bad luck with probe thermometers - as soon as they get wet, they stop giving accurate readings.
