I am getting a brewhemoth in a few days and I am thinking about building a fermentation chamber. I don't have a lot of room to go horizontal, but I can go vertical. I was thinking that I can take the door off a mini-fridge and lay it face down and use it as the room of my fermentation chamber.

As far as I can tell all I need to do is rotate the compressor in the back of the fridge so it stays vertical. Any other problems that I am not thinking about? Has anyone done this before?

it wont run face down, you would need to rotate the compressor so that its right-side up. thats the only problem i can think of.

assuming it's not a frost free mini fridge (most aren't) the coil in the fridge might develop some frost and then melt right onto the beers below. When in the normal position, there is usually a drain for this.
