Anyone still doing 90 minute boils with pilsen malt as a base?

Is anyone still doing 90 min boils when using Pilsen malt as your main base malt in home brewing? When I started brewing 7 years ago everyone I knew that brewed said do 90 min boils for Pilsen malt to avoid dms but recently some of what I read states 60 min is just fine. What are your thoughts?

I do, unashamedly. Why not spend an extra 30 minutes and a little extra boil off to be sure?

Yep. I need more than a couple exBEERiments to convince me. Not to downplay their significance. But I want some more hard data too.

I just did my first batch with Pilsen malt. I did 90 minutes because everyone says you should, any why risk screwing up a batch.

i'm doing 70 these days, gradually moving down from 90 min boils. Haven't noticed any adverse effects yet.

Anytime I use 20% or more Pilsen malt, I do a 90 min boil. It is 30 minutes. Im not trying to make my brewday as short as possible. That just gives me 30 more minutes of classic rock and beer to drink.

Just did a Kölsch 90% pils malt...60 minute boil no off flavors just saying...remember the pils malt we are using now is MUCH different from the Pils malts even 10-20 years ago...but to each their own right? It's why some brewers have crazy awesome automated breweries and others do it in there kitchen and lug gallons of wort into their fermentor.

I've done 20+ batches with Avangard Pils as my "2-row" base, 60 min boil, never a problem...

I do 90 no matter what I brew. But I don't always do a 90 min hop boil... 100 min for continental grains...

I boil 90 min for Pils malts. Like Natdavis777 -- what's the rush?!?!? Some things I want to last. Brew day is one.

I do 75 minute boils regardless of style or grains used, and at least 90 for pils.
