I followed some steps I found on here and had a good sized starter.
It did smell a LITTLE sour, not vinegar or cheesy, and not that strong really.
I kinda wondered if anyone has done this with Pliny or other Russian River beers.
And if it had any of that similar odor.
Nothing to do now but wait I guess.
