Are you picking it up or getting it shipped? Only thing I would say is steel is heavier and it looks like it has a round bottom so you'll need to support it somehow.

That actually looks really cool - being thin like that, might squeeze inside a kegerator instead of having to be outside. My only concern would be whether you can swap it out or not - I'm pretty sure my welding place only have 5# and 10# tanks (I could be wrong). If you have a place that will fill it for you, NBD.

As the title says I found a dirt cheap 7lb tank, I'm in the market and low on cash, any reason why I shouldn't?

Also! will that tank fit a regulator or do I need to buy Brass Adaptor; CGA320 Cylinder to CGA580 Regulator on the bottom of this page-http://www.bvrgelements.com/acc_products.html#

I have three of these. A guy who worked for a gas supply company gave them to me. He told me they used to be used as portable medical oxygen tanks before the aluminum became popular. They work fine but they become very top heavy and unstable when you attach your gauges. He told me his company has a couple thousand of these tanks just collecting dust.

Yea, I went ahead and called. They fill tanks here not exchange so I'm good =D Though I have to borrow my buddys truck every time I want it filled because they won't fill for closed vehicles >_<
