I agree on the JR response, I call Hamlin to win sunday he has had some severe bad luck all season and has been itching to win at Martinsville ever since he got up here plus he runs good there.

nice call

:mug:

I was pulling for Jr, but when his car started fading I switched to Hamlin. He's not my favorite driver by far, but it was good to see him win in VA. He also runs down here on our local short track for their Thanksgiving weekend race, or at least he has the last several years.

Thank you, I think jr will pretty much dominate at texas next week.

He does know how to get around there. I do beleive that's where he got his first win. I think the 18 will have a good shot. He won Atlanta so I think he'll have another good run at Texas. I can hardly wait a couple of more weeks for Dega.

I forgot Dega was the week after Texas. I could see JR going back to back. When is Richmond? I can see him winning there as well.

~Smoke~ Hasn't won in a while and he can win on any track so He is a good possibility as well.

He was second at Atlanta and had a strong car. I do expect to see some of the usual suspects running up front. I can see the RCR cars running well too.

When we went to the two races here last year, Most of the crowd booed when a Toyota Driver was announced during intros. Even though we are the home of the Big 3 it was still pretty classless on our part.

yeah, watched that wreck live on tv, that was something else. it blows my mind watching it that someone was actually in there flipping around like that, think he kept his eyes open?

I imagine he was just thinking to himself..."so this is what it's like to die..."

I wonder of Burton had any criticism for McDowell this time..
 I thought Burton went pretty easy on McDowell after Martinsville, if that's what you're referring to. I heard an interview by McDowell on Monday basically acknowledging Burton's comments and saying he was taking the whole deal as a learning experience.

Also, Burton has been one of the absolute most outspoken drivers for driver and car safety, so he was probably in some ways indirectly responsible for a lot of the safety features that potentially saved McDowell's life. I'm sure Burton was as happy as everybody else to see McDowell walk away from that.

That was a strong run, and it looks like the 48 might be getting things turned around. Jr and Tony Jr got out to lunch again...seems like they can never recover when that happens. Also, I don't think I've ever seen such a poor performance from the 24 team, at least not in recent memory!

Edit: Busch had a strong run, as well...never really slipped up all day.

I have no prblems with edwards winning that was a clean run, just hope he passes inspection. My guy Smoke just keeps on racking up the top 10's hopefully he will win one soon.

It was horrible watching Jeff suck so bad. He was talking about how bad their setup was, but I know that the Hendrick teams share their setups with each other. Texas just might be the track that he will never be good at.

I started out hating him...now I admire him.

Say what you will...that guy races his @ss off.

The All-star race will be fun to watch:

No points.
Winner takes all.
Four 25 Lap Segments.

What a strange format.

I dont think you are going to find many Jr fans to agree with you. 98% of NASCAR fans are rooting for Jr ;)

All honesty I have so lost interest in NASCAR this season. This new cars makes the races so damn boring.
