Anyone been to Lonerider or Aviator yet? What did you think?
Went to Aviator two weekends ago with some friends and he's got a very interesting setup as well as lineup. Def can see the homebrew roots shining through. I wasn't feeling well so I just had a sip of each of the beers. The ESB had a very interesting flavor. The Irish Red was OK, but again I only tried a sip of each. (We had started the day at Carolina Brewing.) The brewer was a real nice guy as we asked 100 questions about how he got it all started. I'm interested to see what else he comes out with.

Last friday I went to the first tour at Lonerider with SWMBO, and it was packed!!! The brewery was gorgeous, and the system was beautiful even though it was used. Copper everywhere! The hef tasted very traditionally, and the porter was spot on as well. I like how both places have come out of the gate with a little something different. Didn't get to talk to the LR guys due to the # of people there, but would def like to go back and pick their brains as well. They seem to have a good plan for grabbing their spot in the market here.

Actually, Fullsteam's brewer came to our HB club meeting this month and brought some samples for one of their beers. It was a saisson I believe. Very tasty! Can't wait to see what they bring to the table once they get up and going.
