So I've been here lurking for a little while and figured I'd say hi to everyone. I brewed my first time on Jan 23. It is probably a day that I will look back on years from now and laugh about. I became interested in this whole process after seeing the Mr. Beer kit. Went home did some reseach and found out about AG brewing. The search began for 3 kegs (thanks BobbyM for your youtube videos) I run a metal recycling center so it only took 3 day to find 3 1/2 kegs and 2 5g sankes. For my first batch I went with a cream ale, not because it is my beer of choice but because it was the cheapest one the place I ordered from online had. I'm very excited today because it started off with a customer of mine dropping off a box of beer tap handles which had a stout tap in the bottom:rockin: then UPS and Fedex arrived delivering my burners, 1 chinese wok style and 2 10" banjos. Now if only the guy would drop his price back down in the LG pumps. I will hopefully be starting my second brew, a RIS, next weekend, wish me luck as this is my favorite beer to date. Oh forgot to mention, I'm in Glenolden, Pa just outside Philadelphia.

well not to rub it in but the same guy just showed up with a 3 tap tower, drip tray and 3 keg couplers. Had to give him $5 for that load. Found out he's cleaning out a bar. He'll be back shortly with all the neons.

Welcome to the obsession. Looks like you went at it with full force.

Best of luck to you and your first beer.

Thank you all for the warm welcome everyone. I'd be more than happy to keep an eye out for things you might want. If it's kegs you're looking for I would have to charge the SS scrap value which is about $30 and shipping would probably be a b*tch. I have a few questions but I'm not sure this is the place to post them. I'm looking to some sort of brew program to run on Mac. I have qbrew but it's not helping me with strike temp/and water amount, grain absorption....many more questions but I'll start there.
